PEMBROKE, Bermuda, March 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Tyco Electronics Ltd. today announced that it will reschedule its annual general meeting of shareholders. The company now plans to hold its annual general meeting to coincide with the date of its special general meeting relating to its previously-announced proposed change of place of incorporation from Bermuda to Switzerland. The company tentatively expects to hold both meetings in June 2009.
The company has set April 3, 2009 as the record date for its 2009 annual general meeting of shareholders and April 6, 2009 as the record date for its special general meeting. Because the date for the 2009 annual general meeting has changed by more than 30 days, certain dates for shareholder proposals previously published in last year's annual general meeting proxy statement have changed.
