Demand for Connected Things Drives Responsibility Agenda

SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland, June 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- TE Connectivity Ltd. (NYSE: TEL), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, released its sixth annual Global Corporate Responsibility report today, outlining the company's progress across a wide range of areas, including its partner relationships, and its impact on the environment, the communities it serves and the workplace it creates for its employees.

Highlights from TE's 2015 Corporate Responsibility report include:

  • Our People: The company is focused on creating a culture of inclusion through events such as Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) Month, as well as employee involvement through our Employee Resource Groups.
  • Environmental Sustainability: TE continues to focus on reducing the impacts associated with our energy usage, including greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, which were reduced 27 percent since 2010, and water usage, which was reduced 32 percent during the same period.
  • Our Community: TE and the TE Connectivity Foundation supported more than 1,400 charitable organizations in 2015, contributing a total of $4.1 million to charities globally. Employee volunteer hours increased from approximately 16,700 hours to 17,400, with a continued focus on increasing volunteer hours globally.
