BERWYN, Pa., April 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- TE Connectivity Ltd. (NYSE: TEL) today announced that its "Let's Create Something Brilliant Together" campaign team has been named the Marketing Team of the Year winner in the EE Times and EDN 2014 UBM Tech ACE (Annual Creativity in Electronics) Awards. The awards program honors the people and companies behind the technologies and products that are changing the world of electronics. The winners were announced at an awards ceremony on Tuesday, April 1, in San Jose, California, during EE Live!
"At TE, we are focused on creating the most innovative connectivity solutions that enable our customers to see their ideas come to life," said Amy Shah, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at TE Connectivity. "Every day more than 7,000 of TE's global engineers come together with each other and our customers to solve some of the world's toughest technological challenges. We are grateful to UBM for the recognition, and we're also happy to shed light on the important work engineers do and the lasting impact they have on our society."
In 2013, TE's global marketing team launched a brand platform that places TE's engineers front and center; featuring many of the faces and stories of its people across the organization and around the globe. By bringing these engineering stories to life, TE has been able to explain its collaboration with customers and problem-solving approach to innovation and invention.
As a focal point of the brand campaign, www.EveryConnectionCounts.com houses compelling stories through creative videos and dialogue across various digital channels. Since its launch over six months ago, the campaign has reached more than one million engineers around the world and has sparked meaningful conversation and engagement with customers.
"We are continually amazed at the level of creativity in the design, innovation and technology exemplified by these award winners," said Patrick Mannion, vice president, brand director, UBM Tech Electronics. "The ACE Awards celebrate the highest achievements in innovation and creativity in electronics design, and selecting one organization or individual that stands out above the rest is incredibly challenging. We are pleased to be able to celebrate their achievements."
A panel of EE Times and EDN editors narrowed down the entries to five finalists in each category, based on the criteria set forth in an online submission form. Winners were determined by a panel of independent judges. Judging took place from January 27, 2014 – February 24, 2014.
