TE Connectivity's Board Approves Recommendation for Quarterly Dividend Increase of 17% and Raises Share Repurchase Authority by $1.5 Billion

SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland, Sept. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the TE Connectivity Ltd. (NYSE: TEL) Board of Directors approved a recommendation to increase the quarterly dividend 17%, from $0.18 to $0.21 per share, for the four fiscal quarters beginning with the third quarter of 2012.  This recommendation will be presented for shareholder approval at the company's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in March 2012.

The company's Board of Directors also authorized an increase in the company's share repurchase program by $1.5 billion.  

Any repurchases by the company will be made in accordance with applicable securities laws in the open market or in private transactions.  The repurchase program is subject to business and market conditions, and may be commenced, suspended or discontinued at any time or from time to time without prior notice.
